WANAC recognizes one of their own for her Committment to Excellence

JulieJulie Raaum, APNP, has been selected to receive the 2009 Frank Lamendola Achievement Award given by the (National) Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC). This award is given to an outstanding nurse who has distinguished herself through a major leadership role in HIV research, education, professional services, or scholarly activities.

Julie, who provides HIV care at the Froedtert and Medical College Infectious Disease clinic, will receive the award for her startup of the clinic research program, her networking to promote additional care opportunities for her patients, her high standards of practice, and her ability to promote people working together.  She will receive the award in November at the ANAC national conference to be held in Jacksonville, Florida. We are so proud to have Julie as a member of our chapter, respected colleague, and most of all as our friend.
